Ballet shoes

This piece was made for my Art 1 class and I really enjoyed creating the lines, rhythm, and contrast of it all.

Ceramic cat

This project was more difficult than the other ceramic pieces because it was bigger in size and took alot more hollowing out, causing some of the parts to fall ontop of eachother. It took me about 3 months because I then realized to wait until the base gets strong enough to support more clay being piled ontop of it. Every layer I added I then waited and could not advance in my project. But overall im happy with the outcome but if I could re do it I would smooth out the harsh lines and paint it all black with yellow eyes.

Landscape

I drew otters in an ocean with whales off to the side using lots of shades of blue and purple with some green for the water. I then painted leaves or seaweed ontop of the finished painting to create some depth. If I could redo this piece i would lessen the amount of pigment used in the sky. Im not really happy with this piece, but then again its my first one so im happy that its part of my learning process.

In the next painting im working on with an animal theme,  Im drawing a dragon and zebra horse. I really learned alot from the otter painting to apply the techniques used and heres my progress.
