Greek mythology (painting)

This is my reference photo

And thia is my progress, im starting from the center and working the way out from the hair and neck.

Its really complicated because the r ed ernce photo is very dark so its very time consuming because i have to make several layers to get that depth. Ive worked on it for about 5 days now. Im going to change the background to be a brown tree so the hair can have some contrast agaonst it.

I got inspiration from the movie fantasia 2000 which was so prevalent in my childhood. She was always my favorite character and i loved skipping to the end scene where they play her part in the movie with the elk and firebird.

Ceramic Yoshi (ceramic)

This isa yoshi inspired ceramic piece that i still have to glaze and fire but this is the first step.

 Im going to glaze it with green black and reds to closely resemble the mario character.

I started off wi th a bog wedged lump of clay then just molded it out of that. I attached the spikes on his back seperately so i can detail them more precisely. The feet were added on in the end as just two oval shaped slabs that i flattened so that he is able to stand up and not tilt or fall over.
